Rock climbing and Via Ferrate

The rock in your hands, reaching for the sky
Watching the wall ascend, tracing its lines, its protrusions, and then feeling the rock beneath your hands. Climbing isn’t just a sport; it’s a dialogue between you and the mountain, engaging both body and mind.

Among the rock climbers who were frequent visitors to Bardonecchia were Primo Levi, Guido Rossa, and Walter Bonatti. In Valle Stretta, on the Parete dei Militi in 1985, the first international sport climbing competition “Sport Roccia” was held, and it was repeated for four editions in the following years.

With climbing shoes, rope, and harness, you can start climbing in any season in Bardonecchia. “Il Cubo” offers both roped climbing and bouldering, with many routes set for both experts and beginners alike. It’s a great alternative on a rainy day or in winter, and an excellent way to meet locals who share your passion!
